Accountant (General Ledger)

About the role

Etex’s Regional Vilnius Hub is looking for a motivated General Ledger Accountant to join its finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledger records, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and contributing to continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a complete and accurate General Ledger and prepare financial reports in line with service level agreements.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month‑end and year‑end closing cycles.
• Execute GL closing activities according to group guidance and timelines.
• Manage the Fixed Assets ledger, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Document and update operating procedures for accounting tasks.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, clear accounts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other Etex departments to ensure timely and accurate transaction recording.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives for the General Ledger function.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional EU language a plus.
• Several years of General Accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Good analytical abilities and attention to detail.
