Chief Legal Officer – Head of Legal & Regulatory

About the role

Finora Bank, an ECB‑licensed specialist bank, is looking for a Chief Legal Officer to lead its legal and regulatory agenda across Lithuania and Estonia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Bank's legal function, defining priorities and providing strategic advice to the CEO, Management Board and Supervisory Board.
• Oversee corporate governance, draft and negotiate material agreements, manage disputes, litigation and ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory engagements with supervisory authorities, monitor banking regulations and support AML/CFT, data protection and operational resilience initiatives.
• Develop and manage the Legal team, foster legal awareness across the organisation and supervise external counsel.

Required profile

• University degree in Law with significant senior legal experience in banking or a highly regulated financial sector.
• Proven track record of engaging with supervisory authorities and handling complex regulatory matters.
• Excellent Lithuanian and English communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of banking regulation, corporate governance, commercial and contract law.
• Experience with EU banking licensing, AML/CFT, sanctions, GDPR and operational‑resilience frameworks such as DORA.
