Corporate Governance & Labor Law Lawyer (Temporary)

About the role

SEB Bank is seeking an experienced lawyer to join its Legal Department on a temporary basis (approximately 2 years). The role focuses on corporate governance and labor law matters, supporting the bank’s management bodies and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and implement the bank’s internal corporate governance framework, including governance documents and decision‑making processes.
• Monitor new legal and regulatory developments in corporate governance and labor law, assess impact and support timely implementation.
• Identify, monitor and help prevent legal risks in corporate governance and labor law, escalating material issues as needed.
• Provide legal support to management bodies, preparing and reviewing governance materials and ensuring quality assurance.
• Advise on internal rules, representation rights, authorisations, delegation arrangements and other governance documentation.
• Advise internal stakeholders on labor law matters, including employment documentation and organisational changes.
• Represent the bank in courts and dispute‑resolution authorities in labor law cases.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Compliance and business teams to deliver practical, business‑oriented advice.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial institution, law firm, supervisory authority or other regulated environment.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into practical, business‑oriented advice.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in Lithuanian and English.
