Customer Support Engineer

About the role

Motorola Solutions is expanding its Engineering Team in the region and is looking for an experienced Customer Support Engineer to join the Lithuania Service Organisation. The engineer works with a team of Radio System and IP Network engineers supporting Mission Critical customers in Lithuania and across Europe, including land mobile radio, WAVE and MCPTT software, command and control and two-way radio products. The role involves travelling to customer sites, and requires EU citizenship with residence in Lithuania.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance (preventive and reactive) of critical systems
• Implement critical software patches and provide technical support during major software upgrades
• Support system expansions and the implementation of new solutions
• Travel to customer locations in Lithuania and abroad (20% to 40% of time)
• Perform on-call duty 24/7

Required profile

• Completed technical training or degree in telecommunications/IT (or comparable qualification)
• 5 years of experience in a similar field is beneficial
• EU citizenship with residence in Lithuania
• Willingness to undergo security screening by the Ministry of the Interior
• Class B driving licence
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in Lithuanian and English

Required skills

• Good knowledge of IP network architecture and its components
• Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks and in a team
• Highly desirable: CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications, RHEL administrator Level 1 certification

• Base salary of EUR 28,000 to 34,000 gross per year, depending on experience and skills
