Director of Engineering – Frontend Technologies (Marketplace)

About the role

Vinted is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Frontend Technologies domain for its Marketplace platform. You will shape the architecture and delivery of Android, iOS, and Web frontends, ensuring they are modular, resilient, and high‑performing. This role directly influences product velocity and the end‑user experience across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the frontend technology strategy, covering design systems, CI/CD pipelines, modularization, and performance.
• Lead a horizontal domain that includes Android, iOS, Web, and design‑system teams.
• Oversee four Engineering Managers and three Staff Engineers, aligning their roadmaps with nine product domains.
• Drive marketplace‑wide tooling, core libraries, and technical standards.
• Balance foundational capabilities with rapid feature delivery to maximize developer velocity and user satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, cross‑functional frontend engineering teams.
• Strong track record of building scalable, modular architectures for mobile and web platforms.
• Ability to influence product strategy and translate business metrics into technical initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing senior engineering managers.
