Engineer Chemist – PVD Coating and Nickel Plating

About the role

A global leader in beverage dispensing equipment for the brewing industry is hiring an Engineer Chemist in Kaunas, Lithuania, through its HR factory client. The role supports the transfer of manufacturing processes from Denmark and Germany to Lithuania, covering PVD surface coating and nickel plating. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Support the introduction, transfer and stabilisation of the PVD surface coating process.
• Gradually take responsibility for monitoring and maintaining the nickel-plating process as the PVD process becomes established.
• Monitor production parameters such as chemical dosing and airflow, and ensure processes run correctly.
• Ensure components meet quality standards and prevent defects or disruptions to production.
• Identify process deviations, investigate causes and implement corrective actions.
• Take part in training and knowledge transfer during the relocation of production to Lithuania.
• Create, update and maintain process documentation and train new operators on PVD and nickel-plating processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Metal Processing or a similar technical field.
• Interest in or basic understanding of nickel plating, PVD coating or other metal-finishing technologies; experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in Lithuanian; good English is a plus.
• Hands-on approach to technical problem solving, proactive attitude and curiosity to learn.
