Global Head of Network Engineering

About the role

Shape the future of network infrastructure for one of Europe's largest financial institutions. As Global Head of Network Engineering you will lead a worldwide team that designs, builds and operates the backbone that connects millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define the global network strategy and architecture roadmap.
• Build and develop high‑performing engineering teams across multiple regions.
• Oversee end‑to‑end lifecycle management of complex infrastructure platforms.
• Lead major incident response and continuous improvement programmes.
• Manage vendor relationships and optimise infrastructure costs.
• Champion SRE principles and automation to increase operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in network, infrastructure or cloud engineering.
• Proven leadership of global, multicultural engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern networking and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience applying SRE and software‑engineering principles to infrastructure.
• Ability to translate strategy into measurable execution.
• Excellent commercial, stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
