Independent Board Member - Renewable Energy Competency Area

About the role

A selection process is open for an Independent Member of the Board of UAB "Ignitis Renewables", a green energy company operating in the Baltic states and Poland, in the renewable energy competency area. The Board consists of three members: one independent member and two representatives of the shareholder. The term is four years, starting on the date of election and ending no later than the 2027 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The selection takes place through an interview.

Required profile

• Higher (university) education and an impeccable reputation.
• No conflicts of interest, no recent removal from a management body, and no state civil servant or politician roles.
• At least five years of executive leadership experience in a large company or group.
• At least four years as a member of a collegial management body, or two years on several such bodies.
• Upper-intermediate English (at least B2).
• Independence requirements: not a civil servant or employee of a state institution, nor manager, member, employee or shareholder of the company, for at least one year before and during the selection.

Required skills

• Experience in senior leadership in the energy sector, with responsibility for business or functional performance.
• At least five years in the renewable energy sector, including development, construction and/or management of projects or asset portfolios of at least 100 MW and EUR 100 million investment.
• Knowledge of wind, solar and/or battery energy storage systems (BESS) and their operation and maintenance.
• Advantageous: experience in international renewable energy groups, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, listed companies and investor engagement, and digitalisation and innovation initiatives.

What we offer

• Fixed remuneration of EUR 4,070 gross per calendar month, under the group's Remuneration Policy.
