Junior Analyst - Politically Exposed Person Screening

About the role

Guidehouse is looking for a Junior Analyst to support Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening within its Investigator job family. The role involves reviewing customer, account and transaction information to spot potential risks and supporting compliance decisions. No travel and no clearance are required.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer, account and transaction information to spot potential risks, unusual patterns and key details.
• Conduct research using internal tools and external sources to gather information and support decision-making.
• Document findings clearly and accurately, creating high-quality case records that support audits, reviews and investigations.
• Collaborate with teammates and escalate concerns about unusual activity, missing information or potential compliance risks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise and prioritise work and adapt to changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Professional demeanor and a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
• Nice to have: experience in AML, KYC, transaction monitoring, FIU, EDD, fraud, compliance or financial services; familiarity with banking, financial crime, sanctions or regulatory concepts; experience with case management tools or research platforms; exposure to quality assurance, escalation handling or investigative support; relevant certifications or coursework in compliance, finance, risk or business.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
