Proxy Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Proxy Network Engineer to design and build a brand‑new proxy infrastructure from the ground up. You will create residential, ISP and mobile proxy networks, rotation systems and session management for a real‑time SERP API serving billions of requests.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a high‑performance reverse proxy and rotation system, handling HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3.
• Develop IP reputation scoring, geo‑targeting (country, city, ASN) and intelligent routing across residential, mobile, datacenter and ISP proxies.
• Build monitoring, health‑checks, bandwidth reporting and fail‑over mechanisms for large‑scale proxy pools.
• Work with low‑level networking (TCP/UDP sockets, Linux networking stack, iptables, network namespaces) and cloud infrastructure provisioning.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of TCP/UDP, sockets, routing and Linux networking.
• Experience writing a reverse proxy from scratch, not just configuring existing tools.
• Performance‑focused mindset with ability to profile, measure and optimise latency and throughput.
• Self‑directed, strong documentation skills and fluent English communication.
