Risk/Safeguarding Analyst (Part-Time, Remote)

About the role

Freedom24 is looking for a part-time, remote Risk/Safeguarding Analyst. The role covers credit analysis of counterparty financial institutions, internal ratings, operational limits and safeguarding of client funds, with a focus on regulatory compliance such as DORA.

Key responsibilities

• Credit analysis of the company's counterparty financial institutions (corporate and investment banks, brokers/dealers, exchanges and clearing houses, central securities depositories).
• Confirm and keep up to date the internal ratings assigned to financial institutions.
• Set limits for operations with financial institutions, review them annually and renew them.
• Take part in deal structuring with financial institutions to mitigate risk.
• Design and maintain risk management frameworks, risk appetite statements, capital and liquidity assessments and risk registers.
• Perform and document a formal Business Impact Analysis to set Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives under DORA requirements.
• Monitor EU regulation and industry developments, and turn regulatory requirements into practical controls, policies and monitoring across asset custody, settlement and safeguarding of client funds.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business or another relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a regulated investment firm or CIF company.
• Experience in risk management and credit analysis of financial institutions.
• Fluent English, oral and written.
• Ability to complete projects and reports on time, work independently and as part of a team, and show analytical skills.
• Nice to have: CySEC Advanced certificate.
