Senior Data Analytics & Automation Engineer

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific’s EMEA Commercial Analytics team is looking for a Senior Data Analytics & Automation Engineer to drive data‑driven insights across a multi‑division business with over $5 bn in revenue. You will design, build and maintain automated data pipelines and analytical solutions that support commercial and demand‑generation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated data integration workflows using Apache Airflow and MS Power Automate.
• Develop and optimise custom SQL queries across Oracle, Cognos and Amazon Redshift to fulfil ad‑hoc business requests.
• Architect and maintain a scalable data mart on AWS Redshift, integrating diverse data sources.
• Apply dimensional modelling techniques (star and snowflake schemas) to ensure performant data models.
• Lead end‑to‑end data‑science projects, from problem definition through predictive modelling using Python.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data consistency, accuracy and reliability.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in data integration, automation and analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects independently.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering business‑impactful insights.
