Senior Frontend Engineer – Consumer Products

About the role

We are looking for a world‑class Senior Frontend Engineer to join our product‑minded engineering team building consumer‑facing features for Kraken’s app across web and mobile. The role involves delivering high‑quality, data‑driven experiences that turn crypto curiosity into long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain consumer‑facing features on React (web) and React Native (mobile), owning the full experience from concept to production monitoring.
• Drive A/B testing and experimentation, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, analyse results and iterate based on data.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data and Mobile engineers to create coherent experiences across Kraken’s consumer surfaces.
• Make opinionated technical decisions on frameworks and architecture (e.g., TanStack Router vs Next.js App Router) and mentor engineers.
• Stay ahead of the React ecosystem, including Server Components, concurrent features and streaming, and bring insights back to the team.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software development experience focused on consumer‑facing web or mobile products.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and the React ecosystem, with clear opinions on state management, data fetching and component architecture.
• Production experience with React Native, including App Store and Google Play release pipelines.
• Experience in fintech, crypto or other high‑trust consumer products where correctness and user confidence matter.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
