Senior Lawyer – Finance & M&A (Energy Sector)

About the role

Ignitis Group is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its shared service centre legal team. You will provide legal support for complex financing and M&A transactions that drive the company’s green energy strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support project financing, syndicated loans, corporate finance and capital market transactions.
• Assist in buy‑side, sell‑side and partnership M&A deals, leading due‑diligence reviews and negotiations.
• Draft and review contractual documentation, manage post‑closing legal matters, and mitigate legal risks.
• Coordinate external counsel and ensure efficient legal project organization.
• Collaborate closely with treasury, investment, project teams and other internal stakeholders.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on finance and M&A matters.

Required profile

• University degree in law (master’s or higher).
• 5+ years of legal experience, with at least 2 years focused on finance or M&A transactions.
• Fluent in English and Lithuanian.
• Strong negotiation, coordination and independent work capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced legal drafting abilities.
• Experience handling complex legal issues in financing and M&A.
