Site Reliability Engineer – IT Infrastructure & Operations

About the role

Join Ignitis Group’s IT Infrastructure and Operations division as a Site Reliability Engineer. You will lead technical initiatives to keep critical services reliable, secure, and continuously modernized across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and reliability of critical infrastructure using SRE and automation best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain resilient systems across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions that provide actionable insights.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, release reliability, and safe deployment strategies such as canary and blue‑green.
• Support Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes to meet RTO/RPO objectives.
• Implement security controls, harden systems, manage secrets, and ensure compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, or NIS2.
• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to optimise performance and reliability.
• Contribute to technical documentation, mentor peers, and participate in post‑incident reviews.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, or IT operations.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, Linux/Windows administration, networking fundamentals, and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD).
• Practical knowledge of observability tools (monitoring, tracing, logging).
• Experience managing production environments with 99.9%+ uptime.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2).
• Proven ability to analyse incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in Agile/DevOps environments.
