About the role

We are looking for a qualified lawyer to join Baltpool, a leading digital platform for bio‑energy trading in Europe. The successful candidate will support the company’s legal, compliance and risk management activities across its rapidly expanding operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor changes in legislation relevant to the company’s activities and update internal policies, procedures and other legal documents.
• Provide legal, compliance and risk‑management advice to senior management and staff.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, handle external legal communications and represent the company before public authorities, regulators and law‑enforcement bodies.
• Support corporate‑governance decisions, prepare board‑meeting materials and identify legal risks with mitigation proposals.
• Coordinate the risk‑management process, maintain the risk register and produce related reports.
• Ensure compliance with national laws, internal requirements and data‑protection regulations (GDPR), including conducting compliance assessments.
• Monitor the performance of existing contracts within assigned responsibility areas.

Required profile

• University degree in law.
• Professional experience in legal work.
• Fluent Lithuanian and English (minimum C1 level).
• Strong analytical thinking, risk identification and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation, communication and representation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of GDPR and other data‑protection legislation.
