Associate Analyst

About the role

The Research Associate leverages internal data, secondary and primary sources, and core research methods to build and validate market estimates in a standardized, transparent, and efficient way.

Key responsibilities

• Review public domain data such as national statistics, trade data, and industry reports for relevance and accuracy.
• Manipulate internal Euromonitor data, including price tracking and digital share of shelf, to add granularity to estimates.
• Build global and regional company profiles for use in company and brand data calculations.
• Collaborate with forecasting specialists to adapt models for regional markets and validate results against primary research.
• Identify gaps in research, commission in‑country analysts for targeted primary research, and oversee daily management of ICAs.
• Conduct data checks, run quality control, and provide detailed explanations on sources and data triangulation.
• Analyze datasets to create meaningful category/country estimates and maintain records while resolving quality issues.
• Defend research approach to clients and collaborate with local specialists and cross‑functional teams to integrate insights.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, process‑oriented and quick learner.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, open to new ideas.
• Team player capable of working in a global environment.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• High level of numeracy.
• Strong computer literacy, particularly MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau is an advantage.
