Controls Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics and automated material handling, is looking for a Controls Commissioning Engineer in Lithuania. This is a hands-on role commissioning electrical and PLC software on automated warehouse and material handling systems at customer sites, with international travel and a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Commission controls systems on site, including electrical and PLC software commissioning, and support system testing and end-user training.
• Produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specifications, method statements and risk assessments in line with BS EN ISO 12100.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design inputs, deliver the project scope within safety, quality, on-time delivery and budget requirements, and ensure CE compliance with the Machinery Directive.
• Commission safety-related control systems according to BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience as an Automation / Controls / Commissioning Engineer or similar.
• Hands-on electrical commissioning experience and ability to read electrical and electronic manuals and drawings.
• Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites up to 80% of the time.
• Full English proficiency and a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• PLC (e.g. Siemens or Allen Bradley), HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software.
• Bus systems such as Profinet, Profibus, ASi, EthernetIP or similar.
• AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Project, Outlook.
