Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics and automated material handling, is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in Lithuania. The role focuses on designing and delivering compliant, high-quality electrical systems for automated solutions, selecting and applying control devices, documenting their functionality and producing detailed drawing packages for electrical installation and assembly manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret design input to produce control system designs, ensuring CE compliance with the Machinery Directive
• Produce design and manufacturing programmes and all associated documentation, including design calculations, specifications, operation and maintenance manuals and test specifications
• Design electrical layout and schematic drawings using CAD tools
• Procure electrical control panels and installation services and liaise with suppliers on technical matters
• Provide technical information to internal teams such as electrical installation supervisors, subcontractors, project sales, project engineers, project managers and purchasing
• Support the service team with bug fixes, enhancements and modifications

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical & Automation Engineer, Controls Hardware Engineer or similar
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Extensive hands-on experience in an industrial automation environment
• Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites or other offices up to 20% of the time
• Full working proficiency in English and a valid driving licence

Required skills

• E-Plan (highly preferred), AutoCAD and MS Package
• Working knowledge of electrical and electronic technical manuals and drawings
• Understanding of distributed control systems and industrial networks
• Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and its harmonised standards; experience with FEM and BS standards preferred
