Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics and automated material handling, is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Lithuania. The role focuses on designing and delivering complex, compliant, high-quality electrical systems for automated solutions, selecting and applying control devices, documenting their functionality and producing detailed drawing packages for electrical installation and assembly manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret design input to produce complex control system designs, ensuring CE compliance with the Machinery Directive
• Produce design and manufacturing programmes and documentation such as design calculations, specifications, operation and maintenance manuals and test specifications
• Design electrical layout and schematic drawings using CAD tools
• Procure electrical control panels and installation services and liaise with suppliers on technical matters
• Provide technical information to internal teams such as installation supervisors, subcontractors, project sales, engineers and managers
• Support the service team with bug fixes, enhancements and modifications
• Act as a technical leader, guiding complex discussions and enabling knowledge transfer
• Promote continuous improvement and international travel to customer sites or offices up to 20% of the time

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical & Automation Engineer, Controls Hardware Engineer or similar
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven hands-on experience in industrial automation on high-complexity solutions
• Working knowledge of electrical and electronic technical manuals and drawings
• Understanding of distributed control systems and industrial networks
• Experience with Machinery Directive and harmonised standards, with FEM and BS standards preferred
• Technical leadership qualities, full English proficiency and a valid driving licence
