DevOps Engineer

About the role

Barbora’s technology team is seeking a DevOps Engineer to drive cloud automation, CI/CD excellence and reliable infrastructure for the leading e‑commerce grocery platform in the Baltics. You will work in a collaborative, high‑energy environment where innovation and rapid delivery are core values.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or Octopus to ensure seamless software delivery.
• Partner with development squads to troubleshoot pipeline issues and implement zero‑downtime deployment strategies.
• Manage and scale AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ECS) ensuring performance, security and cost‑effectiveness.
• Develop, version‑control and enhance Terraform modules for infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Implement and fine‑tune monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Sentry, Kibana, Elasticsearch) to provide proactive visibility.
• Work autonomously within a supportive team, contributing to continuous improvement and best‑practice adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience with AWS cloud services and Terraform.
• Hands‑on knowledge of monitoring/logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, Octopus) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• 2+ years of back‑end development experience is a plus, as are virtualization, networking and security‑compliance knowledge.
