Director of Product, AML & Fraud Prevention

About the role

Vinted Pay is building a dedicated AML & Fraud Prevention product domain to protect members and the balance sheet from financial crime. As the newly created domain leader you will define the vision, set goals and drive execution across AML, CTF, sanctions, KYC and fraud prevention.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the product roadmap for AML/CTF, sanctions, PEP screening, KYC, transaction monitoring and fraud prevention.
• Partner with compliance, legal, risk and engineering to translate regulatory obligations into product requirements and automate manual controls.
• Manage build‑vs‑buy decisions, work with vendors and ensure solutions stay ahead of EU AML package, AMLA, PSD3/PSR and evolving sanctions regimes.
• Lead, mentor and scale a team of Product Managers, establishing best‑in‑class product development practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product management experience, with substantial time in AML, financial crime or compliance at a regulated institution.
• 4+ years of people‑management experience, building high‑performing product teams of 10+.
• Proven track record of launching complex products (minimum two projects of 6‑9 months).
• Comfort operating in a regulated environment alongside auditors and supervisors.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AML processes: KYC, sanctions & PEP screening, transaction monitoring, SAR/STR reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with fraud detection models, rules engines, account‑takeover controls and chargeback management.
• Familiarity with EU AML directives, FATF standards and related regulatory frameworks.
