System Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in intelligent intralogistics and automated material handling solutions, is looking for a System Engineering Team Lead based in Lithuania. You will lead a team of System Engineering specialists who integrate warehouse automation systems, helping them deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the team, conduct performance and development reviews, and lead recruitment, assessment, onboarding and training of new members.
• Coordinate resource planning and project allocation, and provide resource forecasting and capacity planning data.
• Provide hands-on support for system integration activities and guide the team in meeting contractual, functional and throughput requirements.
• Review regional sales proposals for compliance with company standards, including testing strategies and pre-project requirements.
• Promote global processes, engineering best practices and quality standards, and drive issue management and project visibility using the company's tools (currently Jira).
• Collaborate with System Engineering leadership and regional peers to standardise and improve across the EMEA region.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical teams in an engineering environment, with a strong track record of coaching and mentoring.
• Technical engineering background, preferably in systems integration, automation, controls, mechatronics or a related discipline; industrial automation experience highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and focus on quality and cost.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Full working proficiency in Lithuanian and English; willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Project management tools such as Jira.
