Finance Analyst (FP&A, Forecasting & Budgeting)

About the role

Biomapas is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its international team in Kaunas, Lithuania, in a hybrid setting. The role focuses on financial planning, forecasting and management reporting, supporting and taking increasing ownership of recurring forecasting processes, budget preparation and monthly financial analysis. It suits someone with solid experience in financial analysis, FP&A, controlling or a similar finance role, working with a good degree of independence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts, including P&L and underlying operational drivers, and coordinate forecasting inputs from Finance and business stakeholders
• Analyse variances between actuals, budgets and forecasts, and support scenario modelling and ad-hoc analyses for management
• Maintain financial models, assumptions and reporting structures, and look for ways to automate recurring forecasting and analytical processes
• Take part in the annual budgeting process, consolidate budget information and analyse budget movements
• Produce monthly analytical reports covering financial performance and key drivers, including actuals versus budget and forecast comparisons, and investigate significant variances
• Support monthly management and Group reporting and ad-hoc analyses requested by Finance management

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Approximately 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial controlling, management reporting, financial analysis or a similar role
• Practical experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, financial models and recurring management reporting
• Understanding of P&L structures and the link between operational drivers and financial results

Required skills

• Strong Excel, including financial modelling and large datasets
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, ERP or BI/reporting tools
• Advantageous: Power BI, Power Query or similar analytical tools
• Ability to work with data from multiple sources and learn new finance systems
