Fraud Monitoring Intern

About the role

Luminor is looking for a Fraud Monitoring Intern in Vilnius to support the identification and investigation of potentially fraudulent card and payment activity, building practical experience in fraud prevention within a Pan-Baltic banking environment. The position is full-time, and the company prefers candidates already living in the Baltics.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review alerts related to card and payment activity to help protect customers from fraud
• Gather, analyse and verify information from different data sources to investigate suspicious activity
• Support customer communication and information requests when needed
• Identify and escalate suspicious or complex cases alongside experienced fraud specialists
• Contribute to fraud monitoring reports and analysis, helping the team understand trends and operational performance
• Work with colleagues across Lithuania and the Baltics and take part in other fraud prevention activities and team initiatives

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or having completed a bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Business Management, Finance, Data Analytics, Criminology or a related field
• Initiative, responsibility, integrity, attention to detail and an evidence-based approach to problem solving
• Clear communication, teamwork and a proactive attitude
• Ability to spot unusual patterns and draw conclusions from available information
• Fluent spoken and written English and Lithuanian
• Basic knowledge of fraud risks, card payments, digital payments or financial crime prevention is an advantage

• Confident use of MS Office tools
• Fluent English and Lithuanian

• Gross salary of 1160 EUR per month, depending on experience and competencies
