Freight Forwarding Manager

About the role

The Freight Forwarding Manager will be based on‑site in Vilnius and will lead the planning, organization and oversight of both international and domestic freight operations for Tempus Trans. The role covers all modes – LTL, FTL, temperature‑controlled, ADR and express shipments – and requires close collaboration with carriers, customers and internal teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer orders and coordinate shipments across LTL, FTL, temperature‑controlled, ADR and express services.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and vendors, monitor margins and control costs.
• Optimize routes and loads, monitor shipment status and resolve service issues.
• Ensure compliance with international transport regulations, customs procedures and documentation requirements.
• Analyse performance data, drive process improvements and support business development initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners and internal sales, finance and operations teams.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, multimodal logistics and ADR handling.
• Experience with international transport regulations and customs across European and regional markets.
• Professional proficiency in English and Polish; additional regional languages a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site in Vilnius and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with logistics software and Transportation Management System (TMS) platforms.
• Advanced use of spreadsheets, databases and reporting tools.
