Head of Accounting – Remote

About the role

Impact Brands is seeking a remote Head of Accounting to lead accounting operations across its e‑commerce and manufacturing businesses. The role oversees month‑end close, financial statements, AR/AP, vendor management and fraud prevention while ensuring compliance with IFRS or U.S. GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations for a group of e‑commerce companies and a separate manufacturing entity.
• Design and implement robust processes for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payment and vendor management, invoice approval and fraud prevention.
• Develop accounting policies and internal controls in line with U.S. GAAP or IFRS standards.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, ensure accurate financial statements and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Evaluate, propose and implement accounting systems, tools and automation to improve efficiency.
• Lead, train and support the accounting team, ensuring alignment across processes and platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting leadership experience, ideally in e‑commerce and manufacturing.
• Proven expertise with IFRS or U.S. GAAP accounting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to prevent and manage financial fraud or vendor‑related scams.
