Mid-level Backend Engineer (PHP) – Systems Team

About the role

Nord Security’s B2B team is looking for a mid‑level Backend Engineer to join the Systems Team. You will help build and maintain secure, scalable micro‑services that power our cybersecurity suite for businesses worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design and other engineering squads to integrate micro‑services across the Nord Security portfolio.
• Write high‑quality, secure PHP code with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Participate in architectural and technical decisions, contributing to the product’s strategic direction.
• Own the development, maintenance and quality assurance of backend components.
• Ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration testing, and reliable deployments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience with PHP.
• Strong understanding of OOP, asynchronous programming and common design patterns.
• Experience designing and implementing micro‑service architectures.
• Proactive ownership and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
