Mid-level Data Scientist

About the role

Join the Core AI Development team as a Mid-level Data Scientist, creating innovative machine‑learning solutions that shape Nasdaq’s products and client experiences. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn complex data into actionable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement machine‑learning and AI models that deliver measurable value across the organization.
• Transform complex data sets into clear insights and recommendations for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify challenges, uncover opportunities and deliver data‑driven solutions.
• Communicate project progress, findings and business impact to partners at various organizational levels.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or Data Science.
• 2‑4 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
• Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning and deep‑learning concepts, including hypothesis testing, regression, classification, optimization and neural‑network architectures.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large relational datasets.
