Senior Audit Assistant

About the role

EY is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Audit Assistant to join its Audit team in Vilnius. You will work closely with clients to assess their financial operations and give insights that improve business performance, interacting with organisations across industries and countries. As a senior team member you will lead and coach juniors, delegate and review audit work and coordinate engagements so they are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork, manage performance and your team, and keep engagement leaders updated on audit progress.
• Complete audit processes and document higher-risk areas, building technical and business skills in revenue, financial instruments and income taxes.
• Engage clients and provide authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions.
• Keep up with current market trends and share your knowledge to develop junior colleagues.
• Understand clients' ambitions and refer them to colleagues in other teams to broaden business relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in external financial audit.
• A degree in accounting, finance or a business discipline.
• Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting of audits.
• Great communication and team management skills.
• Fluent spoken and written Lithuanian and English.

Required skills

• IFRS and local GAAP experience.
• Revenue, financial instruments and income tax audit topics.
