Senior BI Data Analyst

About the role

We are building a modern, scalable data platform that turns data into a self‑service, "speak to your data" experience. As a Senior BI Data Analyst you will transform well‑governed data into clear insights and decision‑ready reporting for the whole business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain BI dashboards, reports and self‑service analytics on Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake.
• Translate business questions into data models, metrics and visualisations that are accurate, intuitive and reusable.
• Partner with data engineers to define requirements for the semantic/analytics layer.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries for analysis, validation and ad‑hoc requests.
• Define and maintain key business metrics, KPI definitions and a single source of truth in Power BI.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and traceability through validation checks and reconciliation.
• Maintain version‑controlled reporting logic and documentation using Git.
• Support data security, access management and GDPR‑aligned governance in reporting.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools to accelerate analysis, documentation and dashboard development.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level analysts and contribute to reporting architecture improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis or analytics engineering.
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex, performance‑aware queries.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud data warehousing, preferably Snowflake.
• Proven ability to build dashboards and reports in Power BI or comparable BI tools.
