Senior BI Developer (SQL & Power BI)

About the role

Ria Money Transfer’s Digital BI team turns global money‑transfer activity into actionable insights. As a Senior BI Developer you will bridge the data warehouse and business decision‑makers by building robust T‑SQL models and a governed Power BI semantic layer.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise complex T‑SQL objects (stored procedures, views, window‑function logic, ETL/ELT transformations) on a large SQL Server warehouse.
• Own the end‑to‑end Power BI semantic layer: data models, DAX measures, Power Query/M transformations, row‑level security and deployment pipelines.
• Create and maintain executive‑ and analyst‑facing dashboards covering pricing, retention, corridor performance and product metrics.
• Establish data‑quality standards, validation logic, anomaly detection and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineering to model and structure warehouse data for analytical use.
• Tune query and report performance across indexing, query plans, model size and DAX efficiency.
• Translate business questions into reusable data assets and document models, metrics and report logic.

Required profile

• 5+ years developing T‑SQL on SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, window functions and performance tuning.
• 4+ years delivering production Power BI solutions with advanced data modelling, DAX, Power Query/M, RLS and governance.
• Strong dimensional/analytical data‑modeling expertise (star schema, snowflake, etc.).
• Experience working with analysts, product and finance partners in a fast‑paced environment.
