Senior Communications and Marketing Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Communications and Marketing Associate to support the Migration Information Centre (MiCenter) in Lithuania. Reporting to the Head of Office and the Head of Unit, the incumbent will help raise the visibility of MiCenter as a key information resource for migrants, ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement communication and marketing activities for MiCenter projects, aligning with IOM guidelines.
• Develop and maintain MiCenter’s digital presence on social media, the website and other online platforms, including content creation and publication.
• Draft written, visual and multimedia materials such as press releases, talking points and public communications tailored to target audiences.
• Monitor and analyse performance data of digital campaigns, identify gaps and propose adjustments to improve outreach and engagement.
• Liaise with local and regional media, respond to enquiries and support event organization and stakeholder workshops.
• Track budget implementation for assigned activities and coordinate with external service providers as needed.
• Provide accurate responses to complex information requests related to MiCenter and IOM work.
• Contribute to office‑wide communication coordination, ensuring message consistency across units.
• Assist in preparing project proposals, concept papers, reports and status updates.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communication strategies for international or public‑sector organisations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Lithuanian is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
