Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Softeq is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate highly available cloud infrastructure for its innovative product development and digital transformation projects. You will work closely with software, security and QA teams to enable fast, reliable and secure deployments across multiple cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain secure, highly available cloud environments on AWS, GCP and Azure.
• Lead CI/CD initiatives by creating and optimizing pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins and related tools.
• Operate production Kubernetes clusters, manage Helm charts, auto‑scaling and service‑mesh configurations.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Pulumi or comparable solutions.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, monitoring and incident response workflows.
• Drive observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Datadog or ELK stacks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure repeatable, safe deployments and mentor junior staff.
• Enforce compliance and security through policy‑as‑code and secure pipeline practices.
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate scripting and IaC development.
• Apply AIOps techniques for anomaly detection, automated root‑cause analysis and predictive scaling.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• Hands‑on production experience with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go or Bash.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps (Argo CD, Flux) and modern deployment strategies (blue/green, canary).
• Experience with Terraform, Helm and cloud networking concepts.
• Familiarity with policy‑as‑code tools (OPA, HashiCorp Sentinel).
• Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting and incident management best practices.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, security and QA teams.
• Strong communication skills and a mentoring mindset.
