Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer reporting to the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will shape and own the AWS and Kubernetes platform that supports a new R&D team focused on responsible AI for global financial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, establishing infrastructure‑as‑code as the standard.
• Own Kubernetes clusters end‑to‑end—including Helm charts, networking, RBAC, ingress, security, and upgrades—to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Establish observability, secrets management, high‑availability and reliability practices across all environments.
• Mentor DevOps and software engineers, contribute to solution design, and champion AI‑assisted workflows throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Drive adoption of AI‑based tooling across products, services, and CI/CD pipelines, and take on Agile roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure with production‑level ownership on AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• Deep hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or OpenTofu.
• Proven Kubernetes ownership including Helm charts, networking, ingress, RBAC, upgrades and security hardening.
• Strong experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab) and using Git as the single source of truth.
