Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

As a Senior Financial Accountant at Baltic Assist, you will deliver high‑quality financial services to a portfolio of Scandinavian tech start‑ups and global brands. The role combines complex accounting, reporting, and continuous‑improvement initiatives while acting as a key liaison with auditors, finance controllers, and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex accounting and financial reporting tasks.
• Control and coordinate the monthly closing process and related accounting activities.
• Liaise with customers, tax advisors, lawyers, auditors, and other professionals.
• Mentor junior staff on accounting matters and provide professional advice.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities in daily work.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Business Administration.
• At least 2.5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Lithuanian is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver results.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience with various ERP systems.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and best practices.
