Senior Power Trading Analyst (F/M/D)

About the role

Ignitis is looking for a Senior Power Trading Analyst to join its Short-Term Energy Trading team. You will trade electricity in spot markets while developing business tools, improving and systematising trading processes and finding ways to make the team more efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast load and generation for the day-ahead
• Trade on day-ahead markets
• Prepare power trading reports and reporting tools
• Support the trading team with data extraction and transformation tasks
• Contribute to balancing margin setting and develop balancing margin calculation algorithms
• Take part in power trading desk upgrade projects
• Work on weekend trading sessions once a month

Required profile

• University degree; Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or a closely related field is an advantage
• Initiative, responsibility and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new coding skills and the specifics of the energy market
• Excellent written and spoken English
• An advantage: experience in electricity market trading
