Ship Repair Steel Works Technologist / Estimator

About the role

A ship repair steel works technologist and estimator is needed in Klaipėda, with business trips possible. The role covers technical documentation, planning of steel structure fabrication and repair, cost estimating and commercial offers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare technical documentation for ship repair steel work projects
• Plan steel structure fabrication, assembly and repair works
• Prepare cost estimates for ship repair and steel structure projects
• Prepare and coordinate commercial offers with clients and customers
• Calculate material quantities, work scope and resource requirements
• Prepare and monitor project technical and reporting documentation
• Cooperate with project managers, production teams, subcontractors and clients
• Monitor supplier quotations and pricing, and apply EN standards in projects

Required profile

• Engineering or technical education
• Experience in ship repair, steel structures or industrial project estimation and technological processes
• Ability to read technical drawings and structural assemblies
• Good spoken and written English
• Organized, responsible and result-oriented, able to adapt quickly and plan working time
• Availability for short business trips when required

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• AutoCAD
