Web Developer (Payload CMS)

About the role

SME Bank is looking for a Web Developer to take ownership of its public‑facing website built on Payload CMS. You will ensure the site reflects the brand, delivers high performance, and scales with the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve the corporate website on Payload CMS.
• Build and customize Payload CMS collections, fields, hooks and access control to meet marketing and product needs.
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible, pixel‑perfect front‑end code.
• Collaborate with marketing, product and design teams to launch new pages, campaigns and features.
• Manage integrations with analytics, forms, CRM and other third‑party services.
• Ensure site security, performance and uptime following best‑practice hosting and deployment.
• Take ownership of the existing codebase, create documentation and establish a sustainable in‑house maintenance process.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Web Developer.
• Hands‑on experience with Payload CMS or a similar headless CMS.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Next.js.
• Solid understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs and headless CMS architecture.
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker and cloud hosting.
• Good eye for design detail and ability to implement responsive layouts.
• Familiarity with Git and Jira.
• Fintech or banking experience is a plus.
