Accountant – Payroll & Finance

About the role

Edenred Finance is seeking an Accountant to own payroll administration and support broader finance activities. You will ensure accurate monthly payroll processing, compliance with Lithuanian labor and tax regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement of payroll and accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of payroll administration and ensure smooth monthly payroll execution.
• Process employee remuneration, bonuses, benefits, taxes, and social insurance contributions with high accuracy.
• Maintain, validate, and process payroll‑related data in line with legal requirements.
• Prepare and submit mandatory payroll reports and declarations to local authorities.
• Monitor working time records, absences, and other payroll‑impacting information.
• Reconcile payroll data and support month‑end closing activities.
• Prepare payroll‑related reports and provide insights to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Lithuanian labor law, payroll, and taxation requirements.
• Account for payroll costs, cost centers, capitalization, and related controls.
• Support capitalization documentation, internal and external audits, and the budgeting process.
• Prepare and control accruals related to payroll (e.g., bonuses).
• Assist accounting department with reconciliations, tax control, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and optimise payroll processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in payroll administration, payroll accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Excel.
• Understanding of Lithuanian labour law, payroll regulations and taxation principles.
• Experience with payroll and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Analytical thinking and a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Good command of Lithuanian and English.
