Decision Scientist – Trust & Safety

About the role

Vinted is looking for a Decision Scientist to join its Trust & Safety Actioning team. You will work closely with product managers, engineers and fellow decision scientists to protect the community from harmful activities while shaping product and policy decisions through data.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product teams and stakeholders to identify data‑driven opportunities and answer critical business questions.
• Design, run and analyse hypothesis‑driven experiments to validate product ideas and measure real impact.
• Analyse moderation, reporting, policy and sanctioning flows to uncover insights and improve community protection.
• Define, calculate and monitor key performance indicators, spotting issues early and investigating root causes.
• Build dashboards and self‑service tools that enable teams to access and act on data independently.
• Collaborate with other decision scientists to raise the overall analytical maturity of the Trust & Safety function.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for turning data into actionable product decisions.
• Experience working in cross‑functional product teams and driving data‑focused experimentation.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
