Director - Business Continuity & Crisis Management

About the role

Nasdaq is seeking a Director to lead its global Business Continuity & Crisis Management (BCM) program. The role will ensure consistent adoption of BCM policies, tools, and best practices across all business units, supporting operational resilience and rapid recovery from disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve a corporate-wide BCM program that addresses business recovery and crisis response.
• Support the development of a comprehensive business continuity and operational resiliency strategy.
• Execute Business Continuity Planning (BCP) lifecycle activities, including training, business impact analysis, plan updates, reviews, and testing.
• Collaborate with business units and expert functions to implement risk‑management best practices within the BCM framework.
• Build relationships with BCP Coordinators and Plan Owners, serving as an escalation point for BCP issues.
• Design and deliver organization‑wide training and communications on BCM.
• Plan, conduct, and debrief mock crisis‑management exercises, and lead post‑mortem assessments.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in business continuity, crisis management, or related risk disciplines.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, technology risk, and operational resilience.
• Experience with Business Continuity platforms and tools.
• Background in financial services, preferably capital markets or fintech.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in English.
