Director, Social Media & Online Reputation

About the role

Vinted is seeking a strategic, social‑first leader to own the brand’s public conversation across owned social channels, the corporate website, and real‑time reputation platforms. The role combines hands‑on content creation with guidance through reputation‑sensitive moments, working closely with Communications, Marketing and senior executives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global organic social strategy, producing content that grows reach, engagement and brand affinity.
• Lead community management to ensure every interaction reflects Vinted’s voice and values.
• Develop and run an online reputation programme, including social listening, sentiment analysis and early‑warning systems.
• Partner with Communications on issue response, emerging narratives and crisis management.
• Oversee the corporate website, newsroom and editorial output to support thought leadership.
• Build and mentor a best‑in‑class social team and manage agency/freelancer relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience growing social communities and reach for a consumer brand or platform.
• Deep expertise in reputation management, including handling high‑visibility crises.
• Strong judgment on content, tone and editorial decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Fluency with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit and emerging platforms.
• Experience using social listening and sentiment analysis tools.
• Data‑driven decision making and performance reporting.
