Regulatory Compliance Officer

About the role

A compliance officer is a critical second‑line‑of‑defence role responsible for managing compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures within Ebury. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, advise on regulatory matters, and develop policies to ensure local compliance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and implement the compliance programme across the organisation.
• Provide regulatory advisory, interpret new and existing financial regulations and conduct impact assessments.
• Support drafting and reviewing internal policies, procedures and controls to reflect current regulatory obligations.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, central banks and governmental agencies.
• Design and deliver targeted training on regulatory topics to staff at all levels.
• Monitor regulatory changes across relevant jurisdictions and advise the business on necessary adjustments.
• Support ad‑hoc tasks and general project work within the compliance team.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field such as Law.
• Fluency in English and Lithuanian with professional written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 4 years of experience in banking, fintech, legal or compliance functions.
• Experience in crypto and payments environments is valuable.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple regulatory initiatives.
