Remote Data Specialist

About the role

Impact Brands is seeking a Remote Data Specialist to build and maintain data models, ensure healthy marketing and sales pipelines, and provide reliable reporting for its health‑and‑wellness portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain warehouse models in BigQuery using Dataform and dbt, handling version control and releases.
• Keep marketing and sales data pipelines healthy, ensuring new ad accounts and products are correctly ingested.
• Own product and brand mapping, fixing mismatches at the source.
• Investigate data discrepancies across platforms, raw tables, transformed models, and visualizations.
• Develop and maintain Looker Studio reports, including data sources, calculated fields, and access controls.
• Implement data quality checks and alerts to catch missing or broken data early.
• Reconcile metrics with external systems and document definitions for active subscription, active customer, and churn.
• Answer queries from Media Buying, Finance, and Operations with clear, data‑backed explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and persistence in tracing numbers back to their source.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, troubleshooting).
• Google BigQuery and cloud data warehouse experience.
• dbt and Dataform with Git‑based workflows.
• Dimensional data modeling and reusable metric definitions.
• BI tools such as Looker Studio or Power BI.
