Solution Developer (Java) – Customer Messaging & Notification

About the role

Join SEB’s Digital Interaction team to design and build customer‑facing messaging and notification solutions. You will work primarily on back‑end services, APIs, and event‑driven integrations while also supporting front‑end interfaces when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back‑end services and APIs for messaging and notification platforms.
• Implement event‑driven integrations using technologies such as Kafka.
• Contribute to front‑end components with Angular as required.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools like GitHub Copilot to improve code quality, testing, documentation, and automation.
• Ensure security best practices are applied throughout development.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a back‑end or full‑stack developer.
• Strong knowledge of Java and practical experience with Spring.
• Working knowledge of Angular.
• Experience with databases and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with event streaming (e.g., Kafka) is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools responsibly.
• Understanding of security best practices in software development.
• Team spirit and a focus on maintainable, high‑quality solutions.
