Tech Lead – Java Backend & Payments

About the role

Luminor Group is building a leading local banking platform and needs a Tech Lead to drive the design and delivery of critical cash‑management and payments services. You will own complex backend systems, guide a team of engineers, and stay hands‑on with code when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Java/Spring Boot services for banking flows, including payment initiation, routing, validation, and statements.
• Create REST APIs and event‑driven integrations using Apache Kafka to connect internal platforms, data stores, and external systems.
• Work with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm to ensure cloud‑ready, production‑grade deployments.
• Maintain data consistency and auditability in PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
• Modernise legacy cash‑management capabilities and make technical decisions on security, resilience, and operational stability.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, vendors, and platform teams to align solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience building backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven ability to lead technical design, mentor developers, and challenge solutions.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures, messaging systems, and cloud environments.
• Comfortable diving into code while providing strategic guidance.
