Back-End Engineer

About the role

TransferGo is looking for a Back-End Engineer to join its DevEx team. You will help improve the existing monolith and microservice ecosystem, boost code quality and performance, and enable AI adoption across engineering. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and works closely with other engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the current monolith and microservice architecture.
• Improve code quality, performance, and maintainability for other engineering teams.
• Build and refine internal developer tooling and CI/CD workflows.
• Resolve cross‑team technical blockers.
• Drive AI adoption by integrating AI tooling into engineering processes.
• Gradually adopt .NET as part of the technology stack evolution.

Required profile

• Motivated learner with a strong mindset and ability to adapt.
• Experience with large‑scale production systems using PHP or .NET.
• Comfortable working with SQL/MySQL databases and Dockerised environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Service‑oriented attitude, treating fellow engineers as end customers.
• Strong ownership, proactive communication, and ability to work across multiple teams.
