Java Solution Developer – Messaging & Notification Platform

About the role

Join SEB’s Digital Interaction team to design and build customer‑facing messaging and notification solutions. You will work primarily on back‑end services, APIs and event‑driven integrations while also supporting front‑end components when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based micro‑services that power SEB’s communication channels.
• Design, implement and document RESTful APIs and integrate with event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to deliver Angular UI components for internal tools.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot to improve code quality, testing and automation.
• Ensure security best practices are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a back‑end or full‑stack developer.
• Strong knowledge of Java and practical experience with Spring framework.
• Familiarity with Angular, databases and RESTful API design.
• Interest in responsible use of AI‑assisted coding tools in a banking environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on maintainable, high‑quality solutions.
