Mid-Level Tax Accountant – VAT/GST Specialist

About the role

1stopVAT is a fast‑growing tax compliance startup helping Amazon sellers, digital service providers and sustainability projects manage their VAT, GST and sales tax obligations worldwide. As a Mid‑Level Tax Accountant you will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring accurate filing and providing expert guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review clients' sales and purchase supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review VAT/GST/Sales tax returns for clients.
• Communicate daily with clients to answer VAT/GST/Sales tax questions.
• Advise entry‑level colleagues on VAT/GST/Sales tax issues.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Serve as the single point of contact for client tax queries.

Required profile

• Higher degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, international taxation, or indirect taxation with client interaction.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to continuously learn about VAT, GST, and sales tax.
• Detail‑oriented and proactive in daily tasks.
